Description
The eye of my cat Yoshi, April 2011
I'm very amazed that she was so still that I was able to get this. She normally hits and run or just turns her back at me whenever she hears the sound of my camera starting up.

First of all, I'd would like to point out how different this is from the usual images I've seen of cat eyes. The way the eye is shining is truly the eye of an predator, what a cat in the end is. Without being able to make out much besides the eye is stunning and creates the perfect mood for this photograph.
Not to mention the absolutely amazing colors of the eye. I don't think I've ever seen such a strong color in a cat's eye. The colors truly create an impact on the viewer and you cannot turn away without thinking of something rushing out when you're not looking.
The quality of the image is very good. However, when looked closely at the photograph you can see slightly differently colored patches around the left and right bottom corners. I believe this could be changed by adjusting contrast/brightness just a tiny bit.
As final words I'd like to say how much this reminds me of an encounter when I was younger. At night with just the light of a flashlight I there were two shiny spots in the forest. The reflection of lynxes eyes. By bringing my old memories back so clearly, I must say you have done a great job with this photograph.
