That's certainly a lovely photo of a ladybug. It looks like something you'd see for an inspirational poster.

Ina,
I have never seen a photo of a ladybird with the wings open. Another truly magical shot. Is that some form of pollen on the wing casings? It looks a little like brown sugar crystals, which, in its self is amazing. Thank you for sharing this. A shot that makes you go, WOW.

Well deserved. I know how finicky the little buggers are!

haha i think ladybugs are quite co-operative! butterflies on the other hand, for example, are VERY finicky :D

Isn't that weird, I find the opposite is true in my case!?! I'm not sure if you know this but the best way to get your insects to behave is to make sure you do not cast a shadow over them. They instinctively react to a shadow as a threat. Try that with your butterflies next time. :)

yes, i know this :) but i think butterflies are "nervous" or what i should call it. they are moving around all the time. a ladybug usally sits there, and i can sneak up on them haha.
maybe you and i have different energies, that works less good with certains bugs :D

It is possible about the energies. I only ever managed to get one ladybug. It wouldn't stop moving. Butterflies were easy but then again I used a 600mm lens so who knows? ;)
