Mourning Cloak, July 2011
One day at the beach, dozens of this kind of butterfly was all over the place, sucking the damp out of the sand. There were also many Red Admirals, and they were harder to get decent shots of, I had to chase them a little.
This one didn't care, I sneaked up on it quite easily.

Lovely shot. They sometimes visit England from Scandinavia, but "rarely" so I've never seen one here!
